this is not THAT big a deal, but it always worries me. the stand attachment that came with it was scarred on the inside, so it never fully tightens before it gets off its track and loose again. so I really have to position it properly so it doesn't flip over and fall out (the mic that is)... anyone know where I can get a replacement or how to fix it? it's the attachment itself, not the mic stand where the attachment screws on.

Sorry, but maybe it's just too obvious............if you purchased it from a dealer then contact them............otherwise contact SP PMI/Studio Projects direct.

So are glowing reviews of Studio Projects mics.

Just to keep things fair and balanced...I wouldn't want anyone to mistake you for one of our more rational posters.

And you were doing so well for so long...musta run out of meds again, huh?

I remember just recently a thread about this and Alan told the guy to email him and he would send him a new one.

Contact SP, they will take care of it.

Blessings, Terry

Yeah, I think it's good to hear both sides... by the way, who are you again?

drop an email to pmi, they will likely replace.

I would also suggest looking into getting a shock mount. I picked up two for about $45 total and they are very nice.

Han - I always agree with you. Maybe it's the Dutch weed jokes but you're fun!

You could try using plumbers tape and tighten up the swivel bolt under the round plastic covers... or just sent it back to PMI and ask them for the free shock mount that they are replacing the clips with.

I think you're mistaken. That only applies to new sales, unless you have some information that we don't.

I'd bypass all of the above and buy an AKG H100. It works on any mic with a center stem like the SP B series or AT Mics. A little more money up front, but well worth the extra $$. Check e-bay. I found one there for less than $30.

Or go for the well known Beyer clip, it's one of the best and if it holds an AKG D12, it certainly holds the B1.

And it's pretty inexpensive too.

Yeah, I think your right... and I don't know when he got his mic.

Hey grn, how long ago did you get your Studio Projects mic and how long afterwards was it before you noticed the problem?
