SM57 x SM58

The foam pieces for the "ball" type SM58 don't fit a '57.
For live work use the right Shure accessory on the SM57.
Use a pop screen instead (non-foam) for vocal recording.

I second this. The "pop" filter also keeps your face away from the proximity zone if set right. You have a "stop". You can even bury your face into the filter if you like the feeling of women's panty hose...... Some do!
