SM57 or SM58 for vocals

I have an SM57 that I use to record my guitar amp in my home studio. I would like to know if it is a suitable mic for vocals or if it would be better to use an SM58

Is it worth the purchase?

It'll be fine, the 58 AFAIK has a slightly greater bass response and a built-in pop filter. But the 57 will be grand.
