sm 54 A little help pleezz?

oK firstly to feel sorry for me my condenser mic, 58 , & 57 were stolen & is why for the sad face

so now I am shopping for used mics. 1 Vocal, 1 For my AMP,

So I came along these sm 54 but I cant find any info except they are discontinued. I did a search here but limited info

what do you guys use these for & how much would you pay for them?? feedback appreciated.. plus I"m looking for mics for my drummer. thanx

IIRC those Shure's are similar to the EV's that have the "variable-D" feature to mitigate proximity effect.

A SM53 was used for the lead vocal on "I Just Want To Celebrate", the hit song by Rare Earth.

Good microphones, not sure on what it's worth.
