Hey, haven't posted in a bit. Mostly cause it seems I hate everything I write as of late. I wrote/recorded this one today (first day off in awhile). My ears feel totally shot and this is my first quick mix, hoping to get some mix advice/ideas. I'm kinda aware the end needs some work/revisions. Will work on it in the next few days just hoping for some direction. You guys are always a big help.

Very cool sounds man...has a good buildup to it.
I'd like to hear the vocals a bit more...they are a bit quiet in this mix, and seem to fight at times with other sounds. The rest of the music seems to mesh well. Nice guitar tone on that solo...

The music sounds really cool. :) Don't have any suggestions.

You're creative imagination for music arrangement and composition is really cool.

Enjoyed this a lot Gary. I like everything about it - the melodies, vocals, the textures, hard edges and all the gritty little noises in there. Sounds a bit like you've been listening to Marilyn Manson. I'd be well proud of this one if I'd done it

Hi Gary, Good rockin' tune. There's lots of emotion in the vocals, both in delivery and in lyrics. Very expressive. I really like the melody you have written in the chorus, catchy... The scream sounds good - there's some more of that emotion I was talking about. The mix is pretty good, only a couple things came to mind while listening....Maybe eq a bit more vocals into the mix and the hi hat sounds a little hot just after the solo (but fine elsewhere)....
Good tune.....

:):D:):D

Wow I totally forgot I posted this. Sorry for never saying thank you/responding. I actually decided to take a day off over the weekend and redo this one and totally forgot I posted this already.

Dog - Thanks so much. Coudln't agree more on the suggestions.

Bigbubba - Thank you for the nice words. I really appreciate that, I'm a big fan of what you doo arrangement wise.

Bulls Hit - Thanks so much. I actually haven't listened to a MM album in probably 10 years but I got a new keyboard (nord lead 2x) and just couldn't stop myself from using it. Though i have listened to the latest nine inch nails album a little TOO much for it to not inspire me in some way. Can't wait to hear what you put up next, always found your stuff to have an ultra "cool" vibe to it.

Idol - Thanks a ton. I agree with the mix getting lost somewhere towards the end. I just spent one day on it and decided to redo it and just never got around to trying to smooth things out. I ended up listening back extremely unhappy actually with alot of the performances and the mix in general. So i'm hoping today/tomorrow to try and fix this one up. I really do apprecaite it a ton.

Thanks so much guys this gives me alot to work on when redoing htis one.

Gary
