Hi all,
This is problem that has been puzzling me for a while. I use CEP on my work computer as well as 2 home computers. On my most recent home computer, when I open a CD audio track in CEP the read speed of the CD/DVD drive is extremely slow and it takes about a minute to read in a 4 minute CD track. The drive does not spin up to speed even though I believe it can read at 40X. I do have "Spin Up Before Extraction" checked in my options.
Recently I purchased a DVD writer for my PC with 40X CD read speed and I have the same problem. I downloaded a trial version of Adobe Audition a while back and it also read CDs very slowly.
This sounds like it's more of a PC setting than a CEP setting but I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this.
