crash sounded too loud to me and I can't hear the vocals really, particularly during the verses.

New Mix.

I uploaded a new mix in which I toned down the crash a little bit and tried to bring the vocals up. Hopefully it sounds a little better. Thanks for the help.

im on headphones...its 3am....like the composition and the performance, reminded meof grandaddy a bit

anyhoo...cant speak on the mix too much (on dj headphones at the mo)...but the vocals still need to be clearer and the drums need a bit more work i think...the kick sounds flat and the snare could do with more presence around the 5 or 6k mark??

great stuff though

I haven't read any other posts so this is unbiased.

My first thought was: why is he singing through his hand? Verse vocals are too muffled - you are right to effect the vocals but look for a different effect.

I like this tune. I like the drum sound, the organ. It's not finished though. It needs to move on to something else... looking forward to hearing that.

Wow. That is very sludgy.

The vocals seem to have some kind of weird phaser/compression effect on them. With the sludge and filters, that's probably redundant; let them have a little clarity! :D

It was a big wall of noise; I assume that's what you're going for?

It's funny that you mention me singing through my hand, because there's actually two vocal tracks during the verse; on the second one I did muffle my voice with my hands... don't really know why, I guess I thought it sounded neat at the time. I'll probably just drop that idea altogether.

I did use a vocal phaser on the verses, but I probably way over did it. I'm still really new at this and am just trying a lot of different effects and such. The general consensus seems to be that the vocals are far too murky, so I'll probably re-track them and try some different effects.

I was going for a wall of sludge for this tune, but I'm having a lot of trouble eq-ing and setting the levels for the guitars. Any suggestions? Also, does the organ seem to be at a good level?

Thanks for all of the helpful comments! I'll be sure to post an updated mix once I get the time to work on it.
