Hi all, quick question. I did my first reamping experiment over the weekend. I didn't have a whole lot of time so I couldn't experiment as much as I wanted, but I did have one question about the results I've gotten so far. The reamped tracks have just a little bit of a hollow, ever so slightly flanger type of sound to them. The parts I reamped were slightly overdriven (natural amp overdrive, no pedals) with no other effects. Any idea what could be causing the hollow/flangy type of sound? Again, it's very slight, but it is there.
Here's the setup I was using: My DI track was a strat w/humbucker into bridge (all reamped parts used the humbucker), into a Behringer Ultra G DI, into the input of a Zoom R8, into a windows pc running Cubase LE 5. I recorded the DI parts peaking at around -6 db on the Zoom.
After that, I sent the part out of Cubase from my R8's balanced out (just one of the outputs) with one balanced TRS male to XLR male cable, into a Radial XAmp, into my amp's input with a guitar cable. The TRS jack on the cable I'm using to go out of the Zoom has the two lines on it, indicating stereo. Not sure if that matters. I only used one of the outputs from the zoom. The cable is only one male TRS plug with one male XLR plug. It's not a 'y' cable or anything.
Any thoughts?
