Whats up, This is a sparse lil arrangement, nothin elaborate here, just wanted some feedback on whether or not there is anything viable.
This is basically a drop d thing with one guit- one bass, and a somewhat stale fruityloop drum pattern, I,ve never attempted recording somthing in this genre, and would like critisism & guidance from anyone into heavey ass sh*t, i.e how do you create a crushing low end, how do you get the bass tight in the mix etc.
the guitar is going through a pod, the bass through an art mp, the mono tracks are cloned & panned.
You'll find it at:https://www.idrive.com/shreadzilla/files/Shared/
if that link doesnt work just go to idrive & the account is

pass is :HOMEREC
thanks

Cool Shread! It'd be better if you get some more guitar tracks on there... but even one guitar by itself kicks ass. I've been saying it for a while but I might just have to get me a POD.

Obviously the drums sound pretty cheesy... especially the hi-hat and the snare but I guess you already know that... but I have to admit I'm not particularly fond of my hi-hat and snare samples... you've heard my fruityloops "drumkit" haven't you? If you want some samples give me a yell...

Yo Coop, hows it hangin down under,
Thanks for taking the time to download & respond, I appreciate it mucho.
I think I got most of the fruityloop samples that I have from one of your old posts in the drum forum.
I have a difficult time figuring out which ones to use, could you help me create a couple of virtual sets?, just steer me in the general direction or what ever.
[Programing drumloops/patterns, is not one of my strong points, heh heh}.

You should definitely get a pod, for the moola, you get alot of usable sound.
I am hindered in my efforts by my half assed monitor setup, an AIWA home stereo system. I have plans to buy something real in the near future, listening to LEGENDMIX, I cannot see how you mixed it down on HEADPHONES? Hmmmm...
Anyway, thanks man!

No prob Shread... I'll email you when I get home with the details about my "kit". I thought your actual programming was spot on... just need some sounds. Did you d/l dmcsilva's samples as well? From memory he posted them a couple of posts before my original posts at the beginning of the year... my "kit" is made up of about half from each set. Just off the top of my head I'm pretty sure that my kick and snare came from dmc's set... also I'm not sure if my main crash sample was included in the original cymbal set... I think I found it after I'd posted the zip file...

Coop nailed it on the drum sounds.....pod kicks ass...I liked the three piece sound, but yeah, it would be heavier with more guit trax...everything sat in the mix great.....gibs

Thanx gibs, I'm gonna elaborate on this idea, and redo with new samples, flesh out the patterns abit, do multiple guitar tracks , and try & make a whole song.
The most problematic area [besides my drums] is getting the low end right, as I said before I think I need some monitors.
once again, thanks for taking the time to download & respond!
