Single track needing mastered

Simple question, single rock/metal track needing mastered, less than 5 mins, FTP transfer, reccomendations please? One option on my list so far is massive mastering.
 
I've heard that those two Tom guys do a great job too.
 
I know that John guy too - But he's been working with a fever over the last few days and now little orange bunnies are telling him whether to put the compressor before the EQ... :eek:

Sorry to hear about the fever John. I look forward to the orange bunnies they make my day. I keep telling them that they should eat less carrots so that they won't be quite as orange, but they never listen. But that's ok though, I never listen to their advice on mastering either.

Then we laugh and laugh ...
 
I think you guys should stop bogarting that thing and let the rest of the thread join in the fun :(.

Hmm ideally i was after a quick price check and a reason why i should use a peticular service of another, but whatever.

All three of these guys (Massive John, MasteringHouse Tom, and Waltz Tom) are good guys and *real* mastering guys - not just some dope in a dorm room with a crack of Waves and a copy of ProTools LE - and I would recommend any one of them without skipping a beat. I won't pick favorites between them any more than I would recommend Miss May, Miss June or Miss July one over the other as a free escort for one night. All three of them discuss pricing on their websites and provide several ways of contacting them to discuss it further if you like.

But go with a real service like one of those guys, and not just some jerk with no equipment list or references

Cheers Glen, if my tone was facetious it was only meant to be in keeping with the rest of the thread. Waltz Tom contacting me personally so i'll most likely be giving him the job.

pistachio, i will indeed be mixing myself but mastering is something i have no knowledge or ear for, afaic its best left to pro's.

I didn't notice anyone talking down to him... Personally, I think it speaks volumes that the three of us can all be in the same thread together acting graciously without "whoring" ourselves and pumping up. :cool:

Price checks are easy - I think we all have rate sheets, I'd imagine we all have gear lists, etc.

I'm actually glad this isn't like some forums where half the people are jumping up and down like puppies going "pick me! pick me!" :D

ill do it fa ya....u can hear some of my shit on myspace.com/kodyrayfreitag....ta hear wat mixin n stuff im able ta do....besides i like masterin n mixin different joints...i personally do hip-hop but would like ta take sum lessons on singin or voice control, wateva u call it
