People have asked me how I manage to create or convey such a sense of emotion with some of my music?
And I say, "when you've been a$$ raped by the system and people who you've loved, as have I repeatedly? It's really hard not to convey emotion in your performance..." Especially when the song is about emotionally painful events?" The bible talks about metal being forged in the furnace...
I think my abilities as a singer would be diminished if I hadn't been kicked so hard, and so repeatedly in the balls by life. And I believe that goes along for song writing and artists in general.
I started out as a tight end? But now, I'm a wide receiver... :-(
