Hey guys. As my username suggests, I am a complete noob to audio recording. I'm looking for a simple and cheap way to use my Nady Starpower SP-1 microphone to project my voice to an audience (like i'm singing on karaoke). How can I do this? What do I need?

Here is what I have so far:
Nady Starpower SP-1 Microphone (Amazon.com: Nady Dynamic Microphone with Neodymium Element: Musical Instruments)

Kenable Stereo Jack to XLR Female Cable (Amazon.com: kenable 3.5mm Stereo Jack (PC/Laptop) to XLR Female (Mixer/Speaker) Cable 2m (~6 feet): Musical Instruments)

Thank you so much for helping everyone. Really appreciated.

That's not recording, that's sound reinforcement/public address. At a minimum you'll need a mic preamp, a power amp and a speaker. You can get all three in one simple box or as separate components. If you get separate components the mic preamp will probably be part of a mixing board. Oh, and you'll need a proper mic cable.

Do you need to connect anything besides your mic to the system?
