Hi, if I can get a quick mix check. I think I am pretty close, looking for that last tweak for final.

Hey dm, like I posted on VHS's thread, I'm between setups, so can't comment on the mix with much confidence, but a few things that I thought of as I listened. Firstly, nice stereo spread on the acoustic, and the delay is a good idea (though I wonder if the tail is a touch too long?). I felt the vocal was a bit too loud in the verse and also a little pitchy in a couple of spots ('what does it want from me?').

Nice tune though, reminded me of I Am Kloot a little.

Thanks Rob, delay I have long, 100% feedback then dropping to 0 as a fade out, but if that isn't working, easy to shorten. I will revisit the vocals volume.

I will take another go at the pitchy area, I did hear it but didn't think it was too bad, but since you brought it up, will see if I can correct. I have Melodyne, but I can't bring myself to using it, so I will re-record.

I like the song. The vocals seem fine to me. I don't think they are too loud at all. The acoustic and strings are sweet. The delay thing works well. Very nice melody line. I found it relaxing and pleasant. I think the levels are all pretty good. The drums are a bit dreary but I assume they are programmed or electronic.

All in all, great song with a smooth lazy feel...a little mesmerizing. It would make a great addition to my car's MP3 player. Good job DM60

Thanks buzz, appreciate the feedback. Drums are part programmed groove and part MIDI/human playing. I wanted to make it closer to the song, but I didn't want to get carried away. So when I played, I tried to keep it some consistency to appear like there was an abstract beat. As I get better at playing the MIDI drum kit, I will try and get these a bit better. Maybe soon I will see if I can find a real drummer.
