Simple Question with 2408 unit

Got a quick question. What's the differance between the MOTU 2408 and the MOTU 2408mkII. I went to check out the MOTU sight and they only have info on the mkII unit. If anyone knows, let me know. Thanks - Dwright
 
the more expensive model has more inputs/outputs they're exactly the same for the rest. i believe, but don't believe me to much.

i am using the older 2408,the new unit(mark 2)are trs balanced analog, 8 inputs of them,very nice;also 24 bit.my units analog inputs are unbalanced 20 bit nice but i wish i could trade for the newer model.every thing else is the same.

Two questions. When you say the older unit has unbalanced inputs, are those still 1/4" or RCA? Also, have you messed around at all with the newer unit and how much of a sound differance is there between the two units?

my 2408 has rca analog i/o;as for the new 2408,i don't know how it sounds.i run a lot of my live tracking to adat first then into the 2408 via lightpipe. still would be nice to have those balanced i/o's though.i can honestly say my old unit does sound good.
