simple directions for br-532

I just can't get this to work. Using Br-532. mike plugged in. Power on. set for new song. hifi(MT2). hit play and then record. make noise into mike. stop. power down. transferring smart card via card reader to macintoch. Open BR wave converter. select BR drive. select song. the box at the top of the first column turns orange (instead of blue as show in documentation), click on orange box. "Go" lights up. click "Go". Documentation says a "save as" dialogue box should pop up. I get a desktop directory.
I just want a simple recording of guitar and mike. no fancy stuff. It is possible that I have damaged smart card.
Any help would be appreciated as I have been working on this for some time to no avail.

Is the BR converter looking for the USB output of the 532 rather than the smart card?

Sorry everyone. My mojo must be working. For some reason I can not discern, my unit is now recording and playing back on computer.

Hello to all, first post and I did not read anything in the first post. (guess it would be a sticky) To anyone who might know, is the BR 532 capable of recording to the computer instead of the smart card? The smart card is not verry big and I need to record a 3 hour live session?? Forgive my ignorance, I will learn is one day..... This is why they call me a newby.......lol
