I'm new so Please bare with. I'm importing audio to cubase.
and using it's pluggins to clean up my tracks. But I'm having some trouble... every thing is working fine. Exept after i save the final product as wave file. then close out cubase. I'm finding an OVW file along with my saved wave file. I know I'm missing something. I looked in preferences but can't find anything to uncheck. This has got to be common for newbes. Do I really need this file? any imput would be greatly appreciated.

it's some kind of "info" file Cubase makes to load faster, if you delete it, cubase makes a new one next time you load that file or open the project.

You do realize you are posting a Cubase question in the Cakewalk forum, right? :)

The .ovw file is the waveform graphic that Cubase displays in its arrange window. It is generated once, and then kept around. If you delete it, it will regenerate it: it is much smaller and optimized for speed of display, which is very critical if you're working with lots of audio tracks.

If you're just exporting the audio back to another app, ignore it. it isn't meaningful to anything but Cubase.
