I am looking for software that meets the following criteria:
1. Must be able to record clips longer than 1 hour (I record talk radio and sermons from the internet for later playback on my phone).
2. Must be able to record clips of a pre-determined length; for example, if I know the clip I am record is 67 minutes long, I want to be able to set the recorder to stop automatically after 67 minutes without further intervention from me.
3. Must be able to record in both .wav and .mp3 format.
4. Price under $30.
5. Fairly simple (I don't want a lot of bells and whistles...I am recording streaming audio from the internet for personal use, not studio production). For example, Audacity works, but requires too many steps to accomplish what I need.
6. Must be able to record audio streaming over the internet through the computer's sound card.
7. I PREFER the ability to record silently; that is, record while the computer's speakers are muted.
I have googled this and gone through dozens of programs, none of which met all of the criteria above. RecordPad used to do all of the above with a very simple interface, but the latest version is too buggy and I can't get an older version from them. Any suggestions?
