Hi

Here is my lastest recording, it's called Silverfish. A nice creemy groove.



Any comments on the mix/song welcome.

Nice groove...I like the feel of this one.

Not 100% fan of the snare/sidestick whatever it's called. It's a bit brittle on my ears....Maybe take the highs off that a tad and it will sit better YMMV.

Vocals are blending well with the music but could come up just a tad for my taste. Make them the focal point......

Bass is nice, keys are great, recording good....

Just a couple of little nits there - this is a great piece of music - well done.

I agree with Ido1957 - the rim shot is too brittle - if you can EQ it add some mids - it needs the highs to cut through but some mids'd be nice. It doesn't need to be so high in the mix either - pan it a little so it's coming from closer to the edge.
The voice doesn't quite float - it's ethereal BUT inside the mix. It needs to be lifted above like the piano line.
Sounds better in the 2nd verse. It's the addition of the BVox & a little more body as well.
