I have a couple empty silos on my property, one with a steel roof 24' diameter 60' high and a 20' x 40' no roof. playing with a drum kit, bongos acoustic guitar maybe get an electric rockin. I was thinking about renting some recording equipment, any tips? this is my first solid recording with real gear.

Can you hear hear hear hear hear hear me now? I'm sure you will get interesting sound, but to record in either place you will need a ton of acoustic treatment.

It's reminding me of how Jimmy Page stuck a speaker cab in the fireplace pointing up and hung microphones down the chimney at various levels to record some of the fourth Zeppelin album.

It could be very interesting. Try getting mics at various heights including near the top. I'm curious how it will turn out.
