Hope someone can help. maybe run thru your procedure for exporting cubase files for CD burning, iTunes playback, etc.

I'm apparently overlooking something, at least I hope it's that simple.

Once I have gone thru --file> export> audio mixdown to .aif @ 24bit, 96khz, stereo interleaved, I end up with a file that wont playback. Are there some other boxes I need to check/uncheck? Should settings/resolution, etc. be changed? I've done this successfully before and I don't know what I'm doing any different now?!?

Bythe way-when I say I've done this successfully before, that means 2 or 3 times. I've only been working in Cubase (SL) for a couple of weeks now.

Thnx up front,
A

I don't know about SL but on SX you can choose the source for exporting. There should be a pull down where you can select your main stereo out or a VST instrument or an alternate bus out.

Just a thought.

Thnx Vestat,
There is a pull-down but the only option is 'stereo out'.

I believe there's not much difference between SL and SX. The manual that came with my SL is a 'dual' manual, for both SL/SX so I'll glaly take all suggs. from SX users.

I dont know about i-tunes but a CD requires the audio to be at 44.1khz at 16bit. If your project is at a higher bit rate then you will need to use the dithering plugin provided with your copy of SL

Hope this helps
