Signal Paths

Hello all

I just got a new setup and i need some help. I have decided to finally go to the computer, the problem is i am very weary of the interface i get.

I have and use a Tacsam M35 mixing board, i have an outboard compressor, delay, reverb, and pre amps and a 2-track reel.

I need four or more inputs b/c i also record drums.

MAybe a 1010 just trying to get opinions on how to set this up
 
Intentions

My real question is how can i get the most out of my gear. Wjat are possible signal paths. For the mixer for instance -8X2X2. What are some of the approx 1500 range interfaces that would be most suited for these circumstances. BTW the board has 8 Pres on it.
 
With all this stuff comes something that is called "owner's manual". Generally, reading it will provide all the possible ways to hook up your stuff.

thanks for the help i think if i add a little sarcasm to my signal path the tracks will be flawless. Sure is nice to have expert advice from donald duck you idiot. Very helpful.
