Check me on this

if you have an audio interface with 8 ins and 8 outs with a usb connection to the computer, would you use (and is that how they are used) the 8 outs to feed a headphone distribution like Behringer Powerplay?

Would you make aux send channels to sub mix and send to the 8 outs (such as mixing all the drums to one channel)?

if this is not right, how would one feed a headphone distirbution system

lets say PreSonus Audiobox 1818vsl

I would send one stereo monitor mix from the main outs of the hardware to the main inputs of the headphone amp and possibly use the other outputs for "more me" or alternate mixes to the aux inputs (assuming HA4700).

The monitor mix would be a combination of the playback mix and the inputs. The 1818vsl seems to have pretty good input monitoring facilities.
