Hi, i got me a sienhiesser 835 mic for recording on my br1600.I know its a mic designed for stage vocals,but i have been using it to mic up my acoustic with fantastic results(i think so anyway)Are these expensive mics worth the money ?

They're very good mics indeed for the money, and they are in danger of establishing a new standard for versatile and durable stage mics. I've never tried one on an acoustic, though ... but I have had good results with dynamics before so I guess it'll be worth a shot next time I'm experimenting!!
