Here's a new one, hot off the press. It's a pretty typical, simple Greg-rock song touching on my overall distaste and contempt for social and political soapbox activism. Self-explanatory stuff. I dedicate it to most of the idiotic regulars of The Cave down there bickering every day over stupid shit that they don't quite understand and can't do anything about anyway. :laughings:

this seems quite a bit more hardcore than your regular stuff, s'pose its the subject material..


mix sounded great to me, maybe vocals up a touch, though i can hear them pretty well


phasered guitar worked well in place of a solo...i might get a skinhead now..can skinheads wear skinny jeans and like double con panna machiatos? :)
 
Not much for such lyrics, but I thought I'd give it a listen. The sound is great, drums are spot-on, and has your signature all over it.

I've gotta say, though, and I don't know if it was the lyrics or not, but this one seemed kind of "blah" compared to your other stuff. I listened to your Mutant song at least 5 times, and loved it. I guess this one just isn't my cup-o-tea.

Mix is spot-on, though. :D

Thanks man. This one admittedly might not have the "fun" that some of my other stuff has, but I guess I just had to get that shit off my chest. Thanks for checking it out. :D
 
the cave anthem....i know im a culprit but id love if there was a separate political/religious forum just to keep me from joining in that shite...G's right about that, it does sucketh :)

Sounds like a Gerg-riginal to me. Those lyrics were straight forward and to the point. Cool.

I like it. Could be the tea-party anthem. Mix sounds great. Lyrics are a little blunt, but pretty much tell it like it is, so what's there to complain about?
 
I like it - vox could come up some. The "guitar solo" part really works.

Definitely goes with the cave :)

Yeah, I read those lyrics and was just like...man, I kinda like politics, and hollywood and the president. Not what I wanted to hear (not surprising though mind you). Anyway, your delivery and the tempo really make them work I think.

I like this one. High energy and a good kind of angry energy at that. The verses sound like they could be sung even angrier maybe? The chorus delivers in that area though.

Anyway - I know you don't care about song content comments, but as for the mix I got nuthin'. Bass has a nice tone and the guitars crunch just right. Sounds most excellent Greg :).

Haha, thanks man. The line about the president doesn't apply to any president in particular. I hate them all. :D

Really, it's more about biased, agenda driven media outlets and people like Oprah and Bono. :spank:
 
Being someone who has his own personal soapbox & a well thumbed manual on how to use it I'm not going to make the lyrics my mantra BUT I really enjoyed the song.
The phased guitar thingy sounds JUST RIGHT.

It's not much different, but it's different enough. No one complains about that fucking hack Ringo playing the same beat over and over, so why can't I? :laughings:
