Shure SM85 Replacement Grille

I have a SM 85 that need a new grille. I couldn't find a NOS replacement grill, but Shure has a grill for the SM 86 and 87A which are there current SM series handheld condensers. I believe the grill for the 87A is exactly the same and it cost about $40, but the grill for the SM 86 is only $15.

Does anyone know if the SM 86 grill will work on the SM 85?

Just buy an aftermarket one, they are exactly the same and cost about $4.50 including post, I get them from Hong Kong on evil-bay. As I own 5 x SM58's I get replacements every now and then for all of them to freshen them up.

It actually a SM 85, not to be confused with a 58.

Both will fit on your microphone with the thread pattern, just get the silver cheaper one and be done with it.
