A friend bought a Tascam DP02 CF and was given an SM-58 as a gift. Problem: the trim level for the SM-58 has to be set WAY high to get a decent level. Apart from buying an external preamp (which he really doesn't want to do), is there such a thing as an impedence converter to help with the issue.
Audio Technica seems to make such a device for $12. (Audio Technica CP8201 Lo Z to Hi Z Impedance Transformer), but is this a relevant solution?
