Shure SH7B for guitar micing?

How many have used this mic for micing guitar cabs? How were the results?
 
SM7b. Works amazingly well on a guitar cab, especially when paired with another mic.

This is from the perspective of micing for a vintage/light crunch tone, of course. I have no experiance using this mic on a high gain amp.
 
well as long as you don't try to drape it over the cab by the mic cable it should work fine:D
I would put it in phase with a SM 57 for optimal results
it is probably better suited for clean or overdriven resopnse opposed to full metal distortion. The SM 57 is probably better suited for distortion, JMO though
