Hey thanks alot! I hope it don't happen again. I'm loving this mic. I tried Acoustic guitar, shaker, tamboruine.

Still have to try electric guitar with it. I might just use my SM58 for that.

And my problem now is how the hell would I mic my Dejembe and set the levels? I should probably only use my SM58 and This KSM27 right? Any thoughts?

WOW! So, I got the mic. I did some first run tests with it. I really feel over my head. The mic is amazing...But I dont even know how to get the sounds and the levels of where the mixer should be or the fostex line ins...etc...

I have it all etched in stone with my Shure Sm58...I have all the setting for EVERY instrument written down...the percise knob placements and everything!

But this is a whole new field!

Okay, here's where I come in and say "I told you so!" :D Happy trails man! Another satisfied customer!

The KSM 27 is a pretty decent mic for the money. It's strong point is its build quality. It will last a long time. I used to have a few in my live mic packs. I would not however describe the sound as "warm" like mentioned above. i have found that you have to be careful with high frequency content because the KSM 27 tends to get very strident in the higher frequencies pretty easily. This does not make it a bad mic, just something to be aware of.
I own a 27 and I agree with everything xstatic said above. In addition, the only thing I really don't like about the mic is that it reproduces my voice very accurately -- and that's not good.

Well see...I have a habit of tackleing a problem till its solved. I can't let something rest. So I have been working non-stop on getting levels right and everything. I think I got everything set up. Gonna do my first test recording using everything; Acoustic guitar, Electric guitar, Bass, Shaker, Tambourine, Djembe, Piano/strings maybe...

I use the Shure SM58 on my guitar amp. The KSM27 for shaker, tambourine, acoustic guitar. And I use both together for Djembe. KSM27 on top, 58 on bottom.

Cool?

Unfortunetly its making the sound again...fuck...just my damn luck! Now what?
