i copped a Shure KSM 27 for recording....and i was wondering would it need a new real good pre amp to get good sound?....cuz rite now my phantom power source is my Yahmaha 10/2 MG Mixer...
It's a good mic. It'll probably sound fine whatever you plug it in to, so I wouldn't worry about it ... unless you're trying to make a platinum-selling record, in which case you should probably record at a real studio anyway, so I wouldn't sweat it for now.
