Shure BG 4.1

I was digging through my basement, and found a Shure BG 4.1 microphone. It look's like a small diaphram condenser, with an on/off switch. I was wondering if anyone on here has any idea if this mic is any good, and what it would be ideal for. It has to be at least 10 years old judging from the way this thing looks! Thanks.

I have a Shure BG 4.0, which according to the Shure website is the same as the 4.1, just older. They look the same. It looks and sounds very much like an SM94. It is good for acoustic guitar and anything else that you would use a SD condenser on. Mine is currently used on the bottom of a snare drum. (and does quite well there)

If you unscrew the body you will find a AA battery. It can run on phantom power or it's internal battery. Performance is slightly better running on phantom. It's not a bad mic. Got mine for $159 at GC in Boston in the mid 80's.
