I Am Debating Upgrading My Computer To Allow Individual Tracks For Each Of My Drums When Recording.i Am Currently Using A Pr Of Ocktavas To Record Drums Because I Can Only Record 2 Tracks Simultaneously.i Use Cakewalk And N Track.....most 16-24 Track All In Ones Allow 8 Track Simultaneous With Xlrs..etc.......i Would
Have To Upgrade Sound Card And Mixer???which Is Better...for A Musician On A Budget...i Was Thinking Of Poss Using A Tascam Or Boss To Record Tracks Then Load Into Pc Via Usb For Mixing/editing........or Would Pc Be More Bang For My Buck???

how much are those stand alone recording boxes you speak of?? to record, say 9 tracks (for drums) at once and assuining you need preamps as well, i would think the aardvark q10 would be the best bang for the buck. I think they are aound 800 US but i don't know. Other than that, you would prolly have to get a mulit-imput soundcard and a multiple preamp.... that could cost you for quality...

1200-2000.00

1200.00--for A Tascam 2488 ..24track..1400.00..for 16 Track ...boss.....roland 18tk About 2000.....all Record At Least 8 Similtaneously..tascam Only Has 4 Xlrs Though..whick I Dont Like......others Have 8 Xlrs
