Should i trust this guy? IS THIS LEGIT??

see i posted my delta 1010 soundcard on craigslist and this guy emailed me back...

Hello,
I'm Mr.terry kendall,I'm highly intrested in your item (MAUDIO Audio Delta 1010) for the price of ($350) and it's ok by me,beside I will be paying you ($100) for you to get the advert deleted from the website cos it matches what I am in need of.sorry if I may ask, is this your personal property because don't want to involve myself with stolen goods for sale. What is the condition like?I am currently not in the country, to be precise I'm in uk, and I will handle shipment of it to my base You'll be receiving your payment as soon as possible through my client who's in US. I'll instruct him to issue out poster money order in your name the total amount he his owning me on our last transaction which is closed at (3150), you'll receive it as soon as possible, Immediately you get this money order i want you to take it to your bank, cash it immediately and deduct your ($350) and also deduct ($100) for your running around, the excess is for my shipper for shipment of the (ITEM) . They will also use the funds to settle some customs problem and transport them selves down to your place with immediately effect. And you'll wire the remaining balance to the shipping agent through Western Union Money Transfer for them to come for the pickup in your place 48hours after receiving the payment from you, without giving you any stress. so, I do hope i can have your trust about the excess which
is meant for my shipper. Note; that you are not going to give the shipper anything.I am going to responsible for that..So i will want you to send me the following information for the process of the payment.

I await your this info so that I can fax it down to my client that will send u the payment.

sounds like BS...it seems like i remember some scam a few years back that was similar to this...give him your paypal acct and tell him to deposit and you will ship!!
 
It's a complete scam - this is quite common now... tell the asshole to go fuck himself....
 
You should send the guy a box of dog poop for free. Tell him he can keep his money.

That sounds like a hell of an idea to me.
 
The Money Order he sends you will be fake. You will deposit it into your account, wire him the excess funds and ship the unit to him. You'll be out the excess funds, your Delta 1010, and might have bounced check fees at your bank. Don't even bother responding to it. Just DELETE!
 
well....

you could get the money order, deposit it; then write him and say the cops confiscated it. if its a scam, you'll never hear from him again. I would wait for another offer though.
 
Definitely a fake, this is almost a generic email now days. Did you post your item on something like www.craigslist.com ? I ask because I've listed a few items on there recently and received at least 2 emails laid out with almost the same exact info with only a few minute details changed. Do not, I repeat, do not even think about dealing with this person.

My friend listed his bike for sale on Craigslist and recieved almost identical emails as the one you described.
