Greetings,
My question: What would serve me better....my old Tascam US-428, or a new USB interface?
I bought a Tascam US-428 some years ago, and then got too busy with my business to do any recording, so only used it to adjust levels on my monitors when I played on occassion. I'm wanting to get back into recording now, and I'm trying to evaluate whether or not I should keep the 428, or sell it and buy one of the newer interfaces, such as this Edirol:

I have a PC, with cheap useless
soundcard. Pc has Cubase loaded and I'm running Roland D-90 powered monitors. I have a cheap soundcard. I have a few midi keyboards, an electric guitar, and I play hand drums. I also sing. I don't think I'll need to record more than two channels at a time, although of course, more would be nice. I'm pretty new to digital recording so need something that is relatively intuitive to use. If I buy something new, it will have to be under $300 (eBay maybe?).
My question again: What would serve me better. My old 428, or a new USB interface?
Any input would be greatly appreciated?
Thanks much.
