Should I take a chance on these AKAI mics?

Guys, I'm very much in the beginning stages of setting up a home studio, and for now only have a couple SM58's really... I'm a singer/songwriter, plays mostly acoustic guitar and vox, but quite a few other random instruments often find their way into our recordings... Would these AKAI mics be helpful at all? Does anyone know more about them? FYI R250 is around $30.......

they look like they're designed for the old cassette tape decks and are probably not going to sound all that great. If you want lo-fi go for it
 
They look very hinky to me. If you can I'd hold out for something more substantial.
