Should I buy Emagic Big Box with Logic 5 or keep SX?

I'm using the Logic version 4.8 for Windows, that comes with M-audio soundcards. I also have Cubase Sx but I have not installed it yet, I have only tried the demo version so far.

I'm seriously thinking about the Big Box from Emagic.

I got Cubase for $355 off ebay, and I saw the Big Box on ebay for $400, that includes the Emagic Synth, the Piano, the Sampler, and Logic 5.

Is it wise to buy Logic for Windows even though Emagic discontinued Windows versions?

I currently think that logic is Ok, but there are things like automation and edit tools that I cannot use. Maybe because it's the version I have? Maybe it's because I don't know how to use it? Who knows?

What would you do?

Using Windows? forget Logic ever existed for windows. That's my advice as there will be no further windows support from Emagic. Stick to Cubase SX.

Yeah, it's sucks that Apple bought them over, but does it really matter? I mean if Logic works fine as it is then why does anyone need an upgrade. And I can get the software, the sampler, the Synth, the Piano all for just $400 bills.

I still don't know.

I'm not a pro, I just record for a hobby. Maybe one day I will be pro, but not in the next year or two.

Peace. †

even if there's no problem now in about a month or 2 their will because of new technologies that it won't be compatible w/ unsupported win logic 5

stick to SX

I would stick with SX if you are running windows just cause of tech support for Logic on PC will be gone soon. Logic 5 is great but so is Cubase SX. I run both programs on my mac and they both have there strong points but I must say Steinberg out did themselfs this time around.
