Short prog song

I like how the bass guitar maintains its fantastic tone regardless of the rest of the things that are going on in the mix. I really dislike dark "metal" guitar tones, unfortunately.

I wouldn't call this prog though, unless there's a sub-genre called "prog metal".

As far as I'm aware, it's probably the largest sub genre of prog that is still highly active.

I do not sing at all, Mr Bubba po.
I've got a friend who does a good metal vocal but I think he might be a bit too rough around the edges for this tune.

There's numerous progressive metal artists actively making music and touring right now, compared to only a handful of true 'prog' bands.
