Is that your bottom dollar on the Mullard EL34's? And how "used" are they? I might be intrested, I've seen some on Ebay at that rate and even higher, but wondering if their all that...

Well...

David,

I really haven't ANY idea if they're all that... Never got a chance to use them... They've been sitting in my dresser drawer in my bedroom ever since I bought them... Don't really want to sell these as I know they're getting rarer and rarer and the price will just keep going up and up... So when I finally do need them, I either won't be able to find them or won't be able to afford them! But, I need the money to fund other gear right now and these have just been sitting!

These are NOS... New Old Stock... NEVER used!

These ARE Mullard EL34 xf2 double round getter halo tubes (a matched pair)... But branded as "Miniwatt EL34" and have the "xf2 8704" on the glass (which means they were probably made around 1963-1964). I also have the original old Philips boxes from Brazil (which are won't hold the tubes anymore as they're riped).

I paid $275 for them and more than likely won't sell them any less than the $220 I'm asking. If I don't get that, I probably won't sell them.

Thanks for the interest!
Weston

Hey Weston..I'm very intrested in them, but tell me...what were you going to install them in and why haven't you tried them out yet? My amp (Laney) is getting real weak sounding and I'm fixing to buy some EL34's for it, 6L6's is what it has in it but I want to try some EL34's. And also what does "mini watt" mean? A lower wattage tube? or what? Have you got these on Ebay? Reason being it may be a couple wks before I can really think about buying them...so many questions and so little $$:D Thanks!

David

I originally bought them to have that Lexicon Signature 284 (that I'm trying to sell) modded to take EL34s rather than EL84s... But... I figured right now, I could spend my money in "better" places right now. So, I canned that idea and want to sell the 284. Like I said, I really wanted to keep the tubes for when I need them, but I need money to help finance my console I'm having built... So I'm selling the tubes too!

What does "MINIWATT" mean? I haven't a clue... I suspect it was simply just a model or series name of some sort for Philips at the time, but I really don't know... I can more than likely find-out if you're really interested though...

I DON'T have these on E-Bay. I TRY to remember to always offer my gear to people here first before I put stuff up on E-Bay... Sometimes I don't remember, but this time I did.

Ahhh... Don't worry about not having the money right now... I can hold them for you for a reasonable amount of time until you do have the money... THAT ALWAY happens to me too... NEVER have the money when I find the good deals... BUT, I'M willing to wait as I have plenty of other stuff to sell and get money from...

So, if you officially want them, I can hold 'em for a bit... And if you still can't afford them in a few weeks, maybe I'll just end-up keeping them... Who knows...

Hey thanks cat...yeah I'm going to have to get some tubes soon, and I'm not to keen on spending 40.00 on some groove tubes, that are going to sound so-so,(hell they may sound good for all I know) but heck I really need to check out some reviews on these and see what their saying about them, cause I know your not going to give me a refund if I don't like them...are you?:D Let me know if you find any more info on them, and I'll do the same...Thanks

Well...

...I would if they weren't NOS... Will see if I can find more info...

Your Lexicon 284

I'm interestted in your Lexicon 284. What kind of condition is it in- have any mods been done?

-Steve

HEY Genius- This was from FOUR YEARS AGO.

why do people dig this crap up?

since it has been four years don't you think the prices should come down a little?

Prices definitely should have come down by now, hahaha, my goodness.

Just doing a web search for Lexicon 284s. Wasn't paying attention to the dates. Never claimed to be a genius.
