OK, I have to say I'm not a big fan at all of the Easy Listening genre, but I can spot a well written song, and you've got one here. However, at the same time the backing does sound very "casio keyboard" if you know what I mean :) I think the arrangement is damn good, but it suffers a lot from sounding a little cheap, and this makes it seem a little 'tacky'. Do you play guitar at all? Perhaps a strummed acoustic would make the backing sound a bit more human? (I'm taking it you don't have access to a full orchestera, as that would be ideal? ;) )

In summary : Good song, not my style at all, good arrangement but could do with better sounds as it seems very 'MIDI'.

it's a nice song - frank sinatra style; though, I don't like the drums at all, especially the hihats - imo they are too loud and don't fit in - very nice vocals!

Good

Vocal sound is great for this stuff. Keys are kinda casioish as was stated. I thought the drums should be deeper and up more. But over all i think this is well written and the vox are really the strongest part.

i can only pretty much repeat what was said above, i to have a cheap keyboard and i use it as sparingly as possible lol.
the vox do sound awesome though and if that is you singing you are way ahead of me on the vocal department. i liked it a little bit of polishing on the instruments and it would be a keeper

Thanks for the comments. Diplo, I do play guitar and I'll take your advice. I have a Triton Pro. I would have hoped for $2300 it would sound more like real. Any advice on that? I appreciate it guys.

holy shite a triton pro. dang that is a awesome keyboard, as far as sugestions on it how are you recording it? i try and stear away from using any kinda synth guitar sounds even though some of the sounds sound real its hard to play a guitar part on a keyboard and make it sound convincible. but like i said it is a well written song. and its worth the retracking.

Nice job. It is a well-written song. Lots of movements, I like that.

I don't know what to tell you about the keyboard. It must be tone choice that needs to change to get rid of the cheap sound. I don't mean that in a bad way.

Great words and vox.

Where have you been man!?!I thought about posting a thread awhile back to see if anyone had heard from you.LOL.Good to see you back!

I'll check this out when I can get to it.I cant get it to download at the moment.Nowhereradio wont even load for me.

Later,
Kramer

Excellent vocals as USUAL!Im a big fan of Andy Williams(thats right kids,I love andy Williams AND AC/DC.LOL) so I love this.

This is a really good song. The melody is excellent and the parts all fit nicely. If you could get some real horns on the solo this thing would smoke!

The hi-hats sound kind of weird in the beginning of the song before the beat starts.Maybe a cymbal buildup would work better to bring you into the drum section of the song.

Im nitpicking now.LOL..You write some really strong tunes with massive hooks.

Enjoyed it!

Dont be a stranger man.;)

Hey Clay,
....sweet vocals man. Youve got a seriously pretty voice for this kind of music. Some of the midi usage got a little thick for me, .....but it wasnt so much that it distracted from those great vocals. Nice stuff g

Really appreciate that Kramer. Several have commented about the hihat. I think I'll redo it with an acoustic guitar and eliminate those hihats at the beginning. My wife gave me a dedicated room for my music stuff so I won't be a stranger. All's I need is a refrigerator and a shitter and I'll never leave it.. ....
