I could here everything in the mix on my creative labs pc speakers. I am impressed. Te me it was a rythem section of punk with rock overtones.

I should probably read the other post, but how are you getting your kick sound?

Thanks for checking it out.

I wish I had something fancy to tell you about the kick, but I really just stick my mic inside my kick drum. A little EQ and there it is.

Excellent work Greg, I really like this song! Great playing!

The guitar tone reminds me a lot of Pennywise just with a little deeper tone, loved it. The lyrics seemed fine to me and they really fit the song well... I never once thought to myself (as i often do while listening to music) "man... that was just a stupid f*&%ing line! :D

Really enjoyed it thx for sharing!

greg dude, you do punk really well :) i have no mix comments. my pc speakers are shitty and thus i can't hear properly. but that's a cool song. but i have to ask you, you've met a real bitch at some point haven't you? :D:D:D:D

Lol. Thanks. Um, yeah I've met plenty of total bitches, but when I wrote these dumb lyrics, I was probably thinking more of a girl that's so stunningly hot that she pretty much renders a man useless. So yeah, it could be about a bitch, or about a chick thats so smoking you lose all sense of reality, or both. :p

There is always much gerg to be splattered and some like them battered. I prefer to eat them plain, which is what I have done again with much yourockcity.

You have a very lucky wiener to get her bowels bounced around by 120 decibels of gergworthyness. She no doubt leaves her critique in the yard.

I have the same effect on Claire, my four footed relative, which led me to develop my expanding pi theory. Or, the relative distribution of pie.

I'm going out to the paw paw patch tomorrow and collect my reviews.

All the best, Wig:)

Wait, did you just call my song dog shit? :D

she-wolf-
rocking tune.

i'm digging when the drum rhythm kicks in, but the opening riff was a bit off of time, kinda threw me a bit getting started....

cool guitar tone, i like it.
the bass guitar is kind of lite. i hear more high end of the bass, than low end. i dig the basic tone and growl, but it needs more depth (LOW LOW) in the bass to make it sound full.

same with the kick.... can barely hear it relative to the guitars...lots of attack tho.

the lyric reads sillier, than the performance cranks it out. i think the attitude in the vocal delivery transcends that the lyric reads a bit juvenile. i dig the vox, but some of the harmonies are out of tune.
somtimes, you gotta allow that kind of thing, to get the vibe right, i understand that.

sorry if i repeated stuff from previous reviews, i haven't read any of them, just thought i'd give you my first impression.

Ahhh, the bass. It's kind of a trade off. I've been doing a lot of stuff with distorted bass lately, which makes the low end light, but the midrange strong. I'll take another look at the bass. The kick is pretty strong on every system I've listened on, so I think I'm gonna leave that as-is. The vocals...well I suck, so that's about as good as it gets. :D

maybe while you're experimenting with the bass....

do you have a way to split the bass signal to two tracks?

take one signal, and process it exactly the way you're doing.

take the other one, run it thru a preamp and a compressor, and keep it ultra clean.

eq out almost all of the high end on the clean track, and then blend it in with the regular distorted bass track, to add back in the low end, deep and rich, but without cramping your style on the distorted track that gives you edge and definition.

It's tracked that way, but I can redo it no problem. It's easy to play.

I wasn't going to comment because you had so freaking many comments already that I figured you would be more big headed than kirstie alley at a trivia game about food, but honestly I liked it too much not to say anything. Nothing I would change. Very good man. Very good!

-Adam.

Massive energy! It rocks my socks from start to finish. I guess I should criticize it a bit though, (and this is just my personal taste) the bass felt a little thin in some parts, seems it could've had it's bottom end tweaked up a little. Sounds great though, and like I said it's really only my preference.

Thanks for listening. It seems that some folks would like more bass and some are fine the way it is. I'm gonna go with my gut and laziness and just leave it as-is. I appreciate the listen though and welcome to the site. :)

Creative and well managed arrangement. Impressive. You're a talented guy.

Fuckin' drums 'bout ran me outta breath! :D
