she flipped me the bird

the word came across the water
the train ran off the track
i turned to say to my daughter
i guess you aint going back
there's no other way to get out a here
so you might as well have another beer
set em up charlie it's going to get wet in here

so we drank until the sun set
and then decided to hit the road
she said i don't wanna say i never did what I's told
i told her how much i loved her
she hung on every word
but when i began to scold her
up and flipped me the bird

when we finally got to the train crash
we could not remove our eyes
lots of smoke and white ash
the sound of screams and cries

she dashed and pulled a man out
his head was gushing blood
she handled the case with no doubt
she smeared his head with mud
she went back in with gusto
and brung out a crying babe
then took a minute to unfold
and asked for some Gatorade
