so I got 3 profiles on my comp. xp home.

2 are administrator, 1 is limited.

we'll call them, admin1, admin2, and limited. haha.

I have everything being seen by admin1. But, I want some files/folders to only be seen by admin1, and not by any other user. Also, I want some to be able to be seen by any admin (admin1 and admin2, but not limited). THere are also some that I only care for the limited and admin1 to see, not admin2.

Can I do this with xp HOME? I'm thinking I can NOT...haha. but I know it's possible with pro - becuase I'm pretty sure i've done that with files before by just right clicking and going to properties, and then setting permisions.

so ifI can't do this, how can I kinda get past this?

I know that I can "make private" all files. but some files are on a seperate hard drive, and how can i make THOSE private (they are not in my documents and settings of admin1 folder).

AFAIK admins can see everything. The only way to prevent admins from seeing each other's files is by encrypting the files. XP Pro, therefore. Then only the user under whose profiles the file was encrypte, will see it.

You can limit the user to see only certain areas of the disk, by setting permissions for the folders. That's not a problem.

how do i set permissions for folders then? I don't know how to do it through XP HOME.
