Hi everyone. I am a newbie at recording, but I just need some basic info on setting up my bedroom studio. I am running home studio version 2. I have an EMU1212m sound card in the PC. I also have a non powered Behringer mixer and two powered speakers. I am confused on how to run the cables to each component. Do the out's on the soundcard go to the mixer or the in's on the soundcard go to the out's on the mixer and so on and so on.....I am not even sure if the powered speakers are ran off the out on the sound card or the main outs on the mixer. I usually would be able to plug my guitar and Mic right into the mixer and play but now with the sound card and PC I'm confused. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks!!
