This is my setup :

Mics > Multicore > Pres > Delta1010 > Nuendo.

Headphone amp coming out of the 1010 outs.


Would anyone suggest that i should get some rackgear or i best just use the plug ins?


On Settings on computer programs :

What settings do you all use on different mics for different effects etc and whats good/bad...


Where can i get some good computer software cheap? anyone sell anything?
 
Try asking specific questions...... you've asked general questions that would take a small essay to answer.....

Your setup to record now so dive in. You will always want more gear, it never stops. The plugs will get you by for now but I'd at least look at a rack reverb, maybe something like a Lexicon MPX550. Those won't break the bank and for me I haven't heard a plugin yet that's as nice as one of them. That's based on a buddy who's got one and we have recorded together and even his Waves plugs don't compare to the 550...that's just my ears speaking. :)
 
cool i was looking at some yamaha reverbs and delays... Anything else i should consider as rackgear

maybe if i keep the eq'ing and compression/gating to computer and the effects to beforehand on the rack you think that'd be best for me?
 
What the hell are you asking? Stop it! Go to the Newbies forum and ask some questions. Coming into the Rack and saying "should I get some rack stuff" is not going to help you and is just pissing everyone else off!
