Does anyone have an idea how to setup Battery from Native Instrument? I want to set up one of my kits from "Drumkit From Hell" I look at this software and I dont even know where to start. I am having trouble even getting a sound when I click on the button on the screen. I need a starters tutorial...Anyone???

I posted this here cause I had confidence in some of the people in here. I guess I was wrong

I hope not. :(

Anyhow, I've only played with Battery for a very limited time (hour or so) so I am by no means an expert, but I think I can at least get you started.

I just read a snippet on "Drum Kits From Hell" and it seems they have a set up for Battery, which is probably a *.kit file (Battery's native format). Battery will also import; *.lpz, *.txt, *.sf2 and *.map.

To import a whole kit, you need to go to the FILE menu (on the right side of the display) and go to LOAD KIT. Just choose your kit and you will have a drum kit mapped to the pads ready to play.

To import individual samples and build your own kit use the same FILE menu but this time use ADD CELLS. You can import WAVs and AIFFs.

As far as I can tell, once you have the samples mapped you should be able to press any pad and hear its sample. If you can't, check the OPTIONS menu and make sure the checkbox for CHANNEL BUTTON TRIGGERS SAMPLES is checked.

That's pretty much as deep as I got in the hour I was playing with it. If you need more info let me know what version you're using; standalone, VSTi or DXi and I'll see if I can help.
