I have an inspiron 9300 fully loaded laptop M-audio 410 firewire and berhinger truth speakers. I also run sonar 3 producers .

Problems are I keep hearing an alien in my monitors especially when I use the onboard mouse on the laptop. I am not sure if all the outputs on the maudio are fried or what?

When I try to plug my mixing board into the line inputs and listen in headphone the noise is horrible. I can plug guitar in the back and mic in the front with no noise in phones but there will be noise in the monitors thats always there.

I am getting very frustrated as well with sonar not giving be an option to pan all the way to the right. Only all the way to the left.

HELP!

laptop fequencies

Its really not crackling at all its laptop frequencies that are gone when I record and do playback. However they are there when I play a cd.

I am sing trs cables but there is an option for xlr. should I use those ?

Also i was thinking of going xlr out from my mackie mixing board into the mic preamps of the firewire card.

Your Mackie board already has mic preamps in it - it needs to be patched into a line level input.

It was the computer supply

everything works great when I use the battery. Last think to solve is the m-audio craps out and turns off the track. Maybe an IRQ problem
