settings for reverb from a delay pedal?

what would be the settings to get decent reverb from a delay pedal (in ms)

any experiences?

Generally speaking it can't be done.

:(

Delay and reverb are two different things.

You can approximate reverb with a delay pedal by setting a very low level of repeat volume and slow multiple repeats but it will never sound the same.

The only way to get a real reverb sound is to get a real reverb device.
 
I highly reccomend an Accutronics Type 4 spring reverb unit, nothing beats that analog spring reverb!

Listen to Dick Dale, or anything played on an old Fender amp, and you'll know what it sounds like.
 
Unfortunately, AlfredB is in Chile - so it may not be easy to get a good spring reverb there.

. . . and yes, the old Fender Reverbs were really good for guitar. They also used teh same unit on the older Boogies.
