hey guys i got some recording toys and im hooking up a little project studio in my basement to record my band this is what i have:

Fostex VM200 digital mixer
Fostex D 80 multitrack hard disk recorder
And a scsci external cd rw drive

what i basicly want to do is mix a session record it on to the d 80 save it in multitrack form (hopefully all 8) play it back into the vm200 make the mix beter then mix it down into stereo ( which i will most likely need another digital recorder, or not) and will i need a patchbay?

What im asking for is a discription of what to hook up to where, what i will need to hook it all up (cables etc) and for someone to correct me if any of my idea is wrong

If someone could help me out on this that would be awesome

If your mixer has ADAT in/out and your recorder does, the you could go that route. S/PDIF in/out? That might be the way too...

Someone here will know...
