setting up active monitors with headphones

Hey all,

I have a M-Audio Delta 66 running 2 stereo outs 1/4" first to my Behringer Powerplay Pro Headphone Amp then 2 1/4" main outs to each Event TR-8 monitor. How should I set this up to where I can mute the speakers in order to record vocals or monitor only in headphones? Do I need to use a seperate mixer? I am recording in Cubase SX.

That looks cool, but I was hoping there was a way to work with what I have... I also have a little Behringer mixer with the 2 XLRs on it... Perhaps I could run the outputs of the sound card into that and cue 2 different outputs to 1)the headphone amp and 2)the speakers?

Also, do I just keep these speakers on infinitely or should I turn them off with the power strip?

Could create a submix on an aux in your s/w and route to Outs 3/4 of the delta 66? Then use those to feed your other mixer, and hook it to your monitors
