Ok, I have bought some stuff to get started with.

How do I set it up?

I have a Delta 66 w/ breakout box. I have already installed the soundcard.
I am using that with Adobe Audition, and Reason. I also have an mxl 990. How do I hook it all up, for recording. Like more or less how do I hook up my monitors so I can hear the mix, and how do I setup adobe with the card so that it sees all the inputs/channels.

Uhh...do you have a preamp to power up the MXL? or a mixer?

Well your Monitors would be Plugged into Outputs 1 and 2 on the Delta 66 but as For connecting your Mic to your Delta 66 you will need a Mixer or a pre-amp...If your Mic is a Condenser mic you will also need your Mixer or Pre-amp to have Phantom power .....

Cheers

yeah

Yeah, I have all that.. I didn't mention that because thats just like..

I dunno.. I mean I know how to hook up a mic to a preamp/mixer.

I was more or less asking, how each channcel of my delta links to a track in adobe.

Read the Manual for Adobe audition and I"m sure it will tell you but you might want to look into useing a proper Multi-Track Recording program as Adobe audition doesn"t support ASIO unless you are useing V2.0 and is more of an audio editor as Opposed to a Multi-track recording program....

I" don"t have audition installed Right now so i can"t tell you how to set it up....

Cheers

Before Adobe or any other program can use the Delta 66 ins and outs, you need to have it properly installed and showing up in the device manager and in the hardware tab of "sounds and audio devices" under the windows control panel. Also, you should have the Delta 66 SW mixer showing up under windows control panel. Once that is all jiggy, you should see Delta 1/2, Delta 3/4, etc. appear as input and output devices in your audio app., along with any onboard soundchip I/O or other soundcards in your box. You may have to enable something in your app's "options" menu item before they become available to assign to tracks and busses.
