Since we have our own little spot here on the BBS... how about posting photo's of everybody's setups over here?

I know there's this "Let me see your studio" thread..but you know how hip hop studio's are a little different sometimes...

Wel all know we read Scratch magazine front to back 6 times per issue to check out the setups and picture s of those setups...

So here it go... post pics of your setup, pref. with a gear list...

LOL damn quietb....you're the 3rd person I've seen that has that exact same black Wal-Mart desk LOL. And no it's not a diss because if you include me that's 4 people who have it.

Anyways, how are those KRK RPs workin' for you? I'm thinking about catching the RP8s but I'm looking at other models too.

lol I was given this desk because my old one was too small for my shit. These RP5's are really nice. My girl bought em for me the other day. They have more bass response than I thought theyd have for the size. I wanted the RP8s but she wasnt gonna spend that much on me lol. I love these rp5's though.

I used to have the firebox but had to sell it. I like this 1820 alot. Very good quality for the $300 I paid for it. Its alot more stable than the firewire devices I've had since its pci. The pres may be slightly better on the firebox so I'm thinking about getting a inexpensive seperate preamp like the Bluetube or focusrite trakmaster. to connect to it to improve the quality of my vocal recordings. Im trying to improve my chain little by little, moneys kinda hard to come by.
 
That's the same desk i wanna buy!!! The desk i have now is too small. I also need a lcd monitor. Must be nice to have that shure mic.
 
Does that emu sound pretty good? Thinkin about switching out the audiophile. I love my soundcard i'm just thinkin about trying a better one.

Yea it sounds great and GC has em for 300 now (also might wanna try sam ash)....it would be a good upgrade over the audiophile...and yea, I love my ksm lol.
 
Hey Tone!

I'm wanting to get an L shaped desk for more room LOL. I stack two screens on mine with the network router, cable modem, telephone, speakers, and the M-Audio Delta break box. I'll have to take a pic and show ya'll just for the hell of it.

I've thought about picking up the RP8's since I can probably cop them for about 400. I'm also gonna get rid of most of the Behri gear in my setup like the 1202 mixer, the MIC100 preamp, and maybe the Composer Pro compressor (might still keep that in my setup though, not completely sure yet).

First things first though, I'm going to build a new PC and for what I want, it'll easily run me about a grand.
 
Dang man. I wish i was stackin cash like you. I don't have that kind of money at my disposal. If i did, i would have a ridiculous amount of gear.

As much gear as I have now, I've traded or sold twice as much. Now that I have a good system that works for me now, it's time to move ahead of the game nah mean?

no one else gonna post pics? i thought this would be a pretty good thread, and would help some of those who are considering buying gear for this purpose. Anyway, quietB that's a nice setup you have, I thought about going with the RP5's over the 8's but I already have the BX5's so went bigger. I'm with you on the KSM27 that's my goto mic for any project pretty much.

you think that, but I always think that too lol, it took me like 2 hours to look at all the studios in the studio building thread. They all shit on mine :rolleyes: They got built studios from the ground up in their back yard etc, with everything... mine's in the corner of my room. I like your set up, simple but complex

Theres nothing complex about my setup lol. The most complex thing about my setup is EMU patchmix. I will be getting a Presonus Eureka in about a month or so though. Thatll step me up....I love your desk lol.
